Front cover image continued

I continued to look for an image that I could use on my cover from Google. I found another image I liked as it is Jennifer Lawrence in character and I preferred the colours on this image is I thought it would make my cover brighter. However when I looked at this image I thought I may have the same problems as I did with the previous one as it is a similar colour to the background. I kept looking an managed to find the same image without the coloured background so used this for my cover.

To start my magazine cover I looked on Google for the image I would use for the cover. I wanted an image that showed Jennifer Lawrence as her character. I first chose this photo as the image I wanted for my cover.
 When cutting out the image from the background I found that the image background was too similar to the colours she was wearing in the photo and it was too dark, therefore I wouldn't be able to use it on my cover and would have to find another image.

I had a look at existing magazine covers to get an idea of what I wanted mine to look like. To do this I found a cover from Empire magazine which featured Mockingjay Part1 on the cover. When looking at the image i liked how the main character of the film, Katniss, was represented on the cover so I know this is something I would like to have on mine.

Here are some examples of the existing posters for this film that I looked at. I wanted to look at existing posters of this film to get an idea on how the film is being presented so I can get my poster to look as real as possible.

To finish off my poster I wanted to add a slogan at the top of the poster.
When looking into Existing posters for this film I found one with the slogan "Who's side are you on?" I chose this one for my poster as I felt this slogan draws the audience into the poster by the slogan being a rhetorical question. It makes to audience want to go and see the film so they can make their own decisions about the film. I also thought this linked in well with the image as both teams are shows on the poster. I put the slogan in red and blue as these are the colours used to represent Captain America and Iron Man so I wanted to keep with the colour scheme.

I added the final images onto my poster my separating the existing characters onto their sides. When adding my images onto the poster I had to position them well by arranging some images above or below others.
With Captain America and Iron Man I Positioned Iron Man in front of Captain America to give it the allusion that Iron Man is holding Captain America back.

After changing my image to a larger page I had more room to add other characters onto the page.
This is my poster so far.

When adding more characters to my poster I decided that having a single page for the whole page was too small. To fix this I decided to change my poster to a double page.
When moving what I had already done to a double page I share both pages on the screen and dragged the features I had already don't onto the new page.
When doing this I came to a problem, because the page was double the size what I had already done wouldn't fit onto this page.
To fix this page I tried the make the background image and the fire image bigger however when doing this it made the images pixelated.
On Photoshop I found a blur tool which I had never used before. To fix this problem I copied both images on either size of the page and used the blur tool to blur them together to make it look as if it is one whole image.

This is how i dragged the features from one page to the other.

I cut out all of my images from the background. I placed Captain Americas team on the right side of the page and Iron Mans team on the left side of the page.
Every film poster has the films release date so I added this at the top of my poster.
When looking at existing posters for the film I looked at the try of fonts used for the posters. I tried to find one which was similar on 1001 fonts.
It was important that I put the "Marvel" logo above the name to let the audience know it is a Marvel movie.
